Ramdhan - drums,
Adwin - guitar and vocals.
This is the story.
Once upon a midnight dreary, there were five kids from "BPP" Junior High School who used to play metal. They used to play Ugly Kid Joe, Metallica, SOD, Sodom and other metal songs. They were Randy, Toran, Ramdhan, Andri and Imam. Their friend, Olga, was an additional keyboardist. KEYBOARD??? What the hell kind of metal they were playing??? It just that that time they needed a keyboardist to play Faith No More's Easy. But that's all! They really formed the band just for having fun, doing things that was very usual at that time.
In 1993, Andri (my classmate at elementary school) asked me for joining the band to replace Imam. At that time, I was a member of a band that used to play Sex Pistols and Ramones. Eversince I was in the band, we started to play Ramones and Bad Religion.
In 1994, we have tried very hard auditioning our band, and finally succeeded. Our first show (with "Sendal Jepit" name) was at Bandung's 14 High School's Bazaar and the second show at Bandung's 2 High School's Bazaar. We played some Bad Religion Songs.
In 1995, Tengku (Turtles Jr.'s guitarist and Andri's ex-neighbor) told Andri that there was a place for only ONE band to join the "HULLABALOO 2" (Underground party). Unfortunatelly, at that time Ramdhan was ill so we tried to find an additional drummer for our demotape. Rendi Fajar was chosen for playing the drums, and at last, we played first gigs at the underground party. Anyway, I wrote our own first song "Watch Around" only five days before the show. We had good response at that time!! Since that moment, we played a lot of show in Bandung.
In 1996, Remmy (who saw our show at HULLABALOO 2; and our big fan) became our manager. He helped us making money!! WOOOW money!!! With that money we made a 4-songs record for the radio station.
In 1997, one of the songs, "Wrecked it up", was become a patch of 40.1.24 compilation "masaindahbangetsekalipisan". We became more popular in the city, and we thought we must make an album. Dino (Remmy's classmate at the college), who has invested a lot of money in the album, became our 1st album's producer. In addition, we recorded the album at RYR Studio.
In 1998, the first album was released under RIOTIC RECORDS (local indipendent label for punk rock), and it was sold out (we released 1000 copies limited edition). On November, I left the band and my place is taken over by Adwin.
Until now the band are still Randy, Toran, Ramdhan, Andri and Adwin. I'm hoping that you just wait for the 2nd album, will you?
Moreover, I will be still with them helping in recording process!!!
